The Zohar, one of the most influential books of Kabbalah, refers to Lilith as “the Serpent" - it portrays Lilith as Adam’s first wife who was created at the same time as Adam, and thus resisted playing a subordinate role, even refusing to lie beneath him during sex.

She then fled to the Red Sea, where she began coupling with demons, eventually marrying the king of demons, Samael (Satan).

God sent three angels to lure her back, and she returned to seduce Adam after he was with Eve.

Lilith spent her existence roaming the earth as a succubus (a demon in female form) copulating with men as they slept, and giving birth to countless demon children, both incubi (demons in male form) and succubi like herself. But far more disturbing than her predatory sexual appetite was her penchant for killing human children, particularly boys...
